Community comes together for Custard Carnival at EMCC

East Madison Community Center

The East Madison Community Center was filled with energy and excitement as families gathered for Custard Carnival, a National Night Out event.

National Night Out is a nationwide event designed to strengthen connections between neighbors and local law enforcement. Children enjoyed face painting, balloon animals and a bounce house, while Culver’s provided sweet treats with scoops of custard for all.

The evening also featured engaging activities for all ages, including free books, a forensic science activity for kids by the Madison Police Department, and snacks provided by Madison Area Technical College. The Wisconsin National Guard joined the festivities, adding to the sense of community pride and partnership.

The gathering offered an opportunity for families and community members to enjoy activities together while connecting with local organizations and public safety representatives.
