Dreamy Teazy, it’s here!

Northside News

For months I have driven by the vacant storefront next to Klinke on Sherman and Aberg just waiting for a business to go in there, even remarking how awesome a café would be. When I saw those purple and white curtains go up I knew it was time, and here it is — Dreamy Teazy!

Mee Yang (previously a claims adjuster) had a dream to open up a Boba shop and café for about 10 years, while waiting for her children to grow. Last year she began to look, and after several locations, she fell in love with 1297 N. Sherman Ave.

She remarked that the location is perfect for a busy parent to stop in and grab some dinner, for friends to gather, or to come in and try something new.

Dressing a theme of a dreamy garden, with butterflies, flowers, and calming shades of purple this stop is named after Mee’s dream. She even said the name was brainstormed by her family; a dream to serve tea, and to serve our beautiful community.

Dreamy Teazy had a soft opening on July 2 to allow the location time to add new things to their menu, such as egg rolls, other desserts, possibly vegan options, and a patio for your furry friends. Currently, the location is supporting fresh made bread bánh mì with fillings such as lemongrass chicken, cold cut ham, and BBQ pork. Alongside their savory options (including rice and a special spicy sauce), there is also a wide variety of teas, slushies, tiramisu, cake rolls, and more to come. Whether you would like to take out after a busy day, or stop in to enjoy the soothing atmosphere, come try Dreamy Teazy.
