To bloom is to flower. The bloom is the crowning achievement of time spent tilling, sowing and reaping. If your crowning achievement is not up to your standards, a solution may be nearby. You can experience one of nature’s greatest miracles, a second bloom. Let all scalps rejoice, Bloom has come to town.

“I first started creating in one room,” recalled Bloom owner Drew Vega. “Then it was two, and then my clientele got too big for the space.”

Formerly Bloom Hair Studio, the business weaved its way from the Eastside to its new digs at 1246 Huxley Street, on the east side of the Oscar Family apartment building. “I’ve finally got the space to realize my dream,” Vega said, “we’re going full service.”

Vega is an expert at hair extensions, weaves, blends, colors and cuts. His business partner, Patt Nowak, who lives by the credo that hair has no gender, is equally skilled, specializing in fantasy colors guaranteed to satisfy even the most exacting role players and Comic-Con attendees. And they’ve recently added high-end esthetician Mary Owen, who will make sure your skin looks as fabulous as your hair. Their services are so many, only a visit to bloommadison.com can really offer perception.

“We have a large and diverse client base,” said Vega. “It ranges from people who want to look good, to those whose profession dictates they look good. A lot of well-known people have sat in our chairs, and we do our best to ensure confidentiality. Our business believes your hair is your business.”

The new location is still sprouting. Serious discussions are being held about the application of the baseboards. But what isn’t new is Bloom’s dedication to quality. “I’ve been in the biz eight years now,” Vega quipped, “and I know I’m good.”

The future looks furry, and if you really desire to take your head game to the next level, come and grow with Bloom. Just open the door and plant the seed.
