Troy Farm

Come visit one of the Northside’s gems, Troy Farm and Gardens, and enjoy this beautiful natural space. It’s open to the public, with many things to enjoy throughout the year, including walking the trails, viewing wildlife, foraging wild plants, harvesting herbs from the U-pick herb garden, and enjoying the beauty of the prairie, forest, farm and gardens.

Our Troy Farm community events include all this, while also featuring pop-up food vendors, workshops, mini-markets, land tours, family friendly activities and more. Troy Farm is in the middle of a strategic planning process, so opportunities for the public to provide community input on the future of Troy Farm will also be available.

Our August 3 Family Fun and Wellness Fair is sponsored by The Northside Wellness Partnership (NWP), a collaboration between different community and health-based organizations on the Northside and UW-Madison. The NWP works to enhance access to health resources and sustained wellness for every individual, household and neighborhood on the Northside.

The event will feature wellness resources, an art table with Northport Community Center, and yard games with Packers Community Center. Our September and October events will also feature seasonal opportunities like cider pressing, U-pick farm produce, and cooking demos.

Troy Farm is a program of the nonprofit Rooted, whose mission is connecting communities through food, land and learning. To learn more about Rooted, visit our website at rootedwi.org or call us at 608-240-0409.
