Madison Black Chamber of Commerce
The Madison Black Chamber of Commerce is proud to reflect on the tremendous success of Black Restaurant Week, our newly launched MBCC Means Business Incubator and Accelerator programs and our upcoming fall projects. As we bid farewell to summer and welcome fall, we have exciting developments on the horizon that continue to support and uplift Black businesses in Madison.
Black Restaurant Week, which took place last month, drew record-breaking participation from both restaurant owners and enthusiastic patrons. This year’s event not only celebrated the rich diversity of flavors and cuisines offered by Black-owned restaurants but also highlighted the resilience and creativity of our local entrepreneurs. Madison residents came out in droves to support these establishments and the Food Truck Jamboree. Thank you!
In July we celebrated the graduation of almost 40 businesses who completed our new MBCC Means Business programs and we are thrilled to have 40 more entrepreneurs in our fall sessions. You can learn more about our programs at mbccmeansbusiness.com/
Looking forward to 2024, the Madison Black Chamber is thrilled to announce the anticipated launch of a new online directory. This comprehensive resource will serve as a one-stop destination for residents and visitors alike to discover and support Black-owned businesses throughout the city. From restaurants and boutiques to tech startups and service providers, this directory will provide visibility and accessibility to Black entrepreneurs in various industries.
We are already in the early planning stages for our highly anticipated 2024 Black Business Gala. This event has become a staple in our community, celebrating the outstanding achievements of Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs in Madison. It’s an opportunity to honor their hard work, dedication and contributions to our city’s economic and cultural landscape.
The Madison Black Chamber of Commerce is committed to fostering economic growth and inclusivity in our city. As we celebrate the past successes and look forward to an exciting fall, we invite everyone to join us in supporting Black-owned businesses and celebrating the remarkable accomplishments of our community. Together, we can continue to build a more vibrant and equitable Madison for all.
