Madison Night Mares is the name chosen by the public for the new women’s softball team recently established by the Madison Mallards and Northwoods League Softball. The league will showcase the best female collegiate softball players from across the country and will play at Madison Mallards stadium.
The team’s new logo features a teal, black and silver winged horse, and their mascot is a live miniature horse from II Bit Ranch in Columbus. A mascot-naming contest is currently underway. The winning name will be announced at the June 16 home opener. Name ideas can be submitted at the team’s website (madisonsoftball.com).
