The Northside News has been a pillar in our community for 30 years. We all benefit by its existence and we all can help to keep it thriving well into the future. This free community resource created and published by the Northside Planning Council (NPC) shares valuable and informative local news across many topics. The Northside News provides an opportunity for local Northside businesses to advertise their goods and services directly to our Northside community. The Northside News provides an opportunity for elected officials, community leaders, local community centers and schools to share relevant information and updates directly with constituents and residents in one convenient place. The Northside News provides opportunity for dozens of community journalists and writers grow and utilize their writing and photography skills in service of our Northside. We here at NPC and the Northside News are committed to as long as is sustainable to publish this printed newspaper to distribute to the over 13,000 households and businesses who receive it. We are also committed to improve and advance our Northside News web and digital presence to inform and engage the younger generations whose primary medium of communication is not physical paper. In this our 30-year anniversary year, we have raised over $20,000 already from the generous support of over 100 local residents and businesses who see the value of this free community newspaper. We need just $10,000 more by the end of this year (Dec. 31, 2025) to reach our final goal of $30,000. Northside News: $30,000 for 30 years fundraiser:
We will publish the names of every person and business that donates to this “$30,000 for 30 years campaign” in the Feb-March 2026 Northside News issue after closing out the campaign in 2025.
We would reach our goal if:
- 10 people donate $1,000 or more
- 33 people donate $300 or more
- 990 people donate $10 or more

Anyone giving $100 or more to this 30 for 30 campaign can receive a free, “I heart Northside” t-shirt with photo of Warner Beach, screen printed by local entrepreneur Jeramie Winston of WINSTON’s WHAM! If you have already given 100 or more to this fundraiser you can also receive a free t-shirt. If you have already given less than $100 and wish to add to your gift to reach a $100, your combined gift will qualify you for a free t-shirt. To collect your free t-shirt, stop in at FEED Kitchens Monday-Friday between 8:15 am – 3:45 pm and select from our available adult sizes (Small – XXL) while supplies last. T-shirts are available to pick up at FEED from now through the end of this calendar year (Dec. 30, 025, last day). T-shirts are not available days that FEED is closed for the holidays.
