Fall is here on the Northside, and there’s real momentum to share with you.

North Area Festival Recap

Thank you to everyone who came out to the North Area Festival and said hello! It was wonderful to see so many neighbors gather, connect, and celebrate what makes our community special. Events like this remind me why I love representing District 18.

North Area Plan Underway

The biggest news: the North Area Plan process is officially underway. This is a generational opportunity to shape how our neighborhoods grow over the next several years, covering housing, transportation, parks, and community spaces. I want this plan built around the priorities of the people who already call the Northside home: renters, seniors, youth, and families who don’t always see themselves reflected in city planning conversations. Whether neighbors have lived here for decades or just moved in, everyone’s voice belongs in this process, and I’ll be sharing opportunities to weigh in as they’re scheduled.

Hartmeyer Roth Park

Planning also continues for Hartmeyer Roth Park. Questions about classification, environmental review, and long-term community access are still being worked through with Plan Commission and the Board of Parks Commissioners, and I remain committed to making sure that process is transparent and genuinely shaped by neighborhood input.

Working Together

As always, my door is open. If there’s a pothole, a park concern, a zoning question, or just something on your mind, reach out.

Stay in the Loop

Thank you for the trust you place in me to represent this district. It’s a privilege I don’t take lightly. See you out there.
