Circle of Friends supports WPCRC programs

The Circle of Friends (CoF) was hoping to have the Memorandum of Understanding to fund Family Fun Nights at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center (WPCRC) in place by now, but that hasn’t happened. We were able to help with the NewBridge Health Fair on March 12. Good news: the CoF is sponsoring the NewBridge indoor concert with Universal Sound performing on Sunday, April 19, 2–4 pm at the WPCRC.

The CoF goal is to make the center a fun, welcoming place for everyone.

Election Day Cookie sales

We didn’t bake and sell cookies at the February election due to the few people using the WPCRC. We hope the WPCRC is fully open by the April
7 Election Day. If it is, stop by for fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies baked at the WPCRC to benefit WPCRC programs.

As I mentioned in previous articles, the indoor aquatic center is still a very important goal, we are continuing in our search for several major donors and need your help.

Membership in the CoF is open to all residents that support the WPCRC and want to be a part of its continuing growth and success. Board members are selected from CoF members who have volunteered to help and have the time to participate on a working board. Our board members are all volunteers. We have no paid staff. New members and volunteers are always welcome.
