A joyous time was had by the East Madison Community Center adults who visited the Collaborative Creativity event by bernie & zuzu at Pinney Library. The art project for the week was block printing.
The first step was to draw a design on a linoleum block. Next, a linoleum cutter was used to carve the design into the block. Finally, ink was rolled out with a brayer (like a paint roller for block printing), the ink rolled onto the block, and flipped onto the canvas.
A collective art piece with designs from more than 10 people was created and is on display at Pinney Library. Check it out and choose your favorite design.
It’s wonderful to have these creative opportunities coordinated and hosted by our public libraries.
