Northsiders,

By the time this newsletter arrives, the floor period for the 2025–2026 legislative session will likely have concluded. That means that by March, no more bills will be scheduled for a vote in the Assembly by Speaker Vos, and the agenda for the session will largely be set. While this is frustrating, especially with many important bills still awaiting action, the work of serving our community does not stop here in the 76th.

Many people don’t realize the range of constituent services that legislative offices provide. As we kick off a new year, and as political and economic uncertainty weighs heavily on many families, I want to share how my office can help.

Here in Wisconsin, state agencies provide essential services that can sometimes get delayed for a wide variety of reasons: missing paperwork, complicated application processes, or plain old bureaucracy. These delays can affect things like professional license renewals, unemployment insurance, healthcare benefits, or other state-administered services. My staff and I can reach out to agency liaisons on your behalf to help move things along and ensure your concerns are heard.

In addition, my office can also help you navigate questions about state programs, point you toward the appropriate state or local offices when you need more specific assistance, and make sure your concerns are communicated clearly to decision-makers at all levels of government. Whether it’s a recurring issue affecting your neighborhood or a problem you’ve had trouble resolving on your own, we take seriously our responsibility to advocate for you. Even when legislation isn’t moving, this day-to-day constituent work remains a core part of the job.

So please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you are in need of assistance.  Rep.Hong@legis.wisconsin.gov.

In service, Francesca Hong
