Happy summer, Northsiders!

As the legislative season reaches a lull, I’d like to take the opportunity to remind my constituents of the many services that you can access through our office. Whether you’d like to tour the Capitol; write to us about a policy issue or come in and discuss it in person; request a flag, citation, plaque or Blue Book; or get help with obtaining a license, accessing legal aid, or navigating communication with a state agency, we’re here for you! While approaching a legislative office or navigating government bureaucracy can feel intimidating, assisting you is a pleasure for myself and my staff.

If you’re looking for more information or just curious about the structures and functions of our State Legislature, I highly recommend that you check out our website (legis.wisconsin.gov/) as well as my Legislator page (docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/2025/legislators/assembly/2738). On the main site, you can find legislators, committees, bills, lobbying information, schedules, codes and rules, legislative maps, and more. On my profile page, you can find my contact information, committees, votes, and the legislation that I’ve written and cosponsored.

Finally, I want to give you an update on one of Wisconsin’s hot-button policy issues: legal weed. In February, a broad bipartisan coalition of legislators introduced legislation to legalize and regulate cannabis in our state, as well as expunge or adjust related convictions. This issue sits at the core of racial justice, economic development, and public health; in order to redress racially targeted convictions, open alternative pathways to well-being and care, and prevent hundreds of businesses from closing, it’s imperative that we pass Senate Bill 1045 this session.

Thank you again for staying tuned. I look forward to continuing to serve my constituents and fight for progressive legislation for the remainder of this session and beyond!
