Friends of Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) invites the public to celebrate a century of community impact at its MSCR Centennial Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 15, starting at 6 pm at The Tinsmith, 828 E. Main St., Madison.

The milestone event honors 100 years of enriching the Madison community through accessible sports, arts, enrichment and outdoor programs. Sponsored by Madison Gas & Electric, the evening highlights the vital role local recreation has played in shaping the fabric of the community while raising essential funds to ensure inclusive recreation for future generations.

“A century in the making, and we are just getting started,” said Mary Roth, executive director of MSCR. “This celebration is not only a look back at the incredible history and lives touched over the last 100 years, but a commitment to the future. Every ticket purchased and auction bid made directly supports our ongoing mission to keep recreation accessible to every resident in Madison.”

Event Schedule

The Warm-Up: A vibrant cocktail reception featuring music, drinks and hors d’oeuvres provided by Buck & Honey’s. Guests can explore interactive displays highlighting MSCR’s 100-year history in Madison.

The Main Event: A welcome address from Executive Director Mary Roth followed by a live auction hosted by Lanette Hansen from Magic 98 offering exclusive experiences and packages. All proceeds directly fund MSCR community initiatives and scholarships.
