Kennedy Heights Community Center
Kennedy Heights Community Center (KHCC) is proud to announce the addition of a new accessible vehicle that will expand transportation access for residents across the community. This milestone was made possible through the generous support of several foundations and individual donors who recognized the critical need for reliable, inclusive transportation.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the newly established Trillium Foundation for their leadership and generosity. KHCC was honored to be among their first award recipients, receiving a $40,000 contribution. A portion of these funds supported the purchase of the van, while the remainder waill help sustain ongoing costs, such as insurance and maintenance.
We are also grateful to the Madison Community Foundation, the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation, and individual donors Bea and Lau, whose collective support made this effort possible.
This accessible van will serve as a vital resource for older adults, individuals with mobility challenges, and families without reliable transportation — providing access to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and community programming.
The vehicle will also be available to partner organizations, based on availability. For more information, contact adultoutreach@khcommunitycenter.org.
As we continue to build community, we invite residents to our Summer Block Party on June 19, celebrating Juneteenth with music, games, and activities led by Dane County Trash Lab and the Madison Textile Arts Center. Food will be available for purchase in support of the community center.
This summer, KHCC will also launch two conflict transformation cohorts, one for adults and one for teens focused on strengthening communication and building safer, more connected neighborhoods in the Kennedy Heights and Ridge Crest communities.
Summer camp enrollment is open: contact youthprogramcoordinator@khcom
