Northside Farmers Market
The Northside Farmers Market opens its 22nd season on Sunday, May 3. Neighbors, families and visitors are invited to gather, shop and connect while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere that has made the market a cornerstone of the community for more than two decades.
Each week, the market offers a lively mix of local vendors bringing the very best of the region’s harvest and handmade goods. Visitors can expect a wide variety of fresh, seasonal produce, delicious hot foods ready to enjoy on-site, homemade baked goods, and unique handcrafted items created by talented local artisans.
Whether you’re stopping by for a warm breakfast, picking up ingredients for dinner, or browsing one-of-a-kind crafts, the market offers something for everyone.
At its heart, the Northside Farmers Market is about more than shopping — it’s about strengthening community connections and supporting local agriculture. The market works to expand access to foods that are fresh, flavorful, nutritious, unique and affordable for the Northside community. By bringing together farmers, food producers and residents in one welcoming space, the market creates opportunities for people to meet face-to-face, learn from one another, and build lasting relationships.
Supporting the market also helps sustain the region’s agricultural traditions. Vendors offer locally grown and responsibly produced goods, helping protect the air, water, soil, wildlife and biodiversity that make Wisconsin’s farming heritage so special. By providing farmers and producers with direct marketing opportunities, the market strengthens the local agricultural economy while helping preserve farmland for future generations.
Most importantly, the Northside Farmers Market provides a safe and welcoming place for neighbors to gather. It’s a weekly celebration of food, culture and community life.
Mark your calendar for May 3 to join us as we kick off another wonderful season on Madison’s Northside. The market will run as always from 8:30–12:30 at the corner of Northport Drive and Sherman Avenue. We also hope that you continue to join us weekly on Sundays extending to Oct. 25.
