Spring has sprung, Northsiders!

As we are seeing the budding of new flowers and new life all across the Northside of Madison and beyond, I am reminded that many activities are moving into action for the Spring. My name is Dawn Mortimer, and I am fortunate to serve as the Interim Board Chair and Secretary for the Northside Planning Council (NPC). We are so fortunate to have a thriving community that wants to engage Northsiders and others to participate in as many events that you want to be a part of.

In the coming months, we have a variety of events happening across the Northside of Madison, that you will not want to miss. There is something for everyone – from nature walks to family fun nights – whether its indoor or out amongst our Northside landscape, you don’t have to work hard to find events to meet your neighbors.

One event I want to highlight is the Northside Farmers Market. The Northside Farmers Market takes place every Sunday from May to October at 8:30 am – 12:30 pm at the Northside TownCenter. The farmers market allows us to support our local farmers and products while enjoying the opportunity to connect with our community. For me, the ability to support my friends and neighbors, while I know I am eating healthy, feels like a win all around. There is something about biting into that juicy apple and knowing it came from just down the road makes every crisp bite, smile-worthy. If you would like to learn more about what vendors are at Northside Farmer’s Market or would like to become a vendor yourself, be sure to check out https://northsidefarm

Make the most of your Spring.
