Hi Northsiders,
We are at the start of the winter, and the holidays are upon us! In my opinion there is nothing like the holiday season in Madsion. You feel a sense of community even more from the decorations to the events. If you are looking for other ways to give back to your community, please be sure to connect with local food pantries, consider inviting family and friends over for meals, or even paying someone’s tab in the Starbucks line. One small act of kindness may be the very thing someone needed to push through their day.
As we continue to ease into winter, let’s continue to take time to support the local businesses in our community by volunteering, donating, making a purchase, attending an event, or even sharing a post…or two on your social media.
If you are looking for an event to attend, FEED Kitchens is hosting its annual Holiday Bazaar Dec. 20 from 9 am–1 pm at FEED Kitchens. Let’s also not forget that “Soups On!” has started, so don’t forget to place your orders between Wednesday and Saturday for pickup or delivery on that following Tuesday. My family enjoys supporting this event and the businesses that participate. Orders can be made via Madison Locally Sourced website with pick-ups at Feed Kitchens.
On another note, The Northside Women In Leadership group (formerly Northside Women In Business, started by the late Lauri Lee) has began meeting quarterly. If you are interested in learning more about this group or attending our January meeting, feel free to email me at shaunte.mccullum@enrichmen
