On Saturday, Oct. 3, Isthmus Montessori Academy (IMAP) will be hosting the 14th annual Race to the Finn at Burrows Park. All proceeds benefit the Finnegan Ringdroski Scholarship Fund.

This community fun run has two races: a mile at the park and a 5K through Maple Bluff. After running or walking, everyone is encouraged to tie-dye their
t-shirts and partake in donated snacks like Sassy Cow chocolate milk, Willy Street bananas, cookies and chips.

Isthmus Montessori Academy is a school on Madison’s Northside (1802 Pankratz St.) that is dedicated to helping children achieve their greatest success, develop independence and live with genuine kindness to others and the world. IMAP currently enroll students from 2 months to 17 years old in programs that develop environmental awareness, build strong academics, connect students to their community, and encourage children to reach their own unique highest potential.

For students who are 4 years old and up, Isthmus Montessori Academy is a public school. For infants to age 3, parents of students pay tuition. The Finnegan Ringdroski Scholarship will be used to help students in need who would otherwise not be able to afford an early Montessori Education.

The race is named in honor of Finnegan Ringdroski, who passed away at the age of 2 from brain cancer. He was going to be one of the students at IMA and his younger brother still attends school at IMAP.
