For a second year, the American Family Insurance Championship will take place at TPC Wisconsin on the Northside. The event features top PGA TOUR Champions players and raises money for the American Family Children’s Hospital and local nonprofits.

The public tournament is June 5–7. New this year, the sponsors are offering Northsiders a special Buy One Get One Free discount for general admission. To redeem, add one ticket to your cart, enter the code “northside26” at checkout, and you’ll receive a second ticket free of charge.

Final plans aren’t set, but restrictions on parking and vehicle access on nearby streets will likely begin June 1. Residents and their guests, delivery vehicles and contractors will always have access. Those attending the tournament can use a free shuttle from Madison College or bicycle parking on site.

Vehicle access to Cherokee Marsh–North Unit will be allowed from 7 pm until the park closes, one hour after sunset. Due to the event’s restricting access to the North Unit, the June 7 Bird and Nature Adventure will be a paddle tour leaving from the Cherokee Marsh–South Unit boat launch. Find more information at cherokeemarsh.org.

A public meeting to share information and address community concerns is being planned and will likely occur in late April. Nearby residents will receive a postcard about the meeting. The American Family Insurance Championship Facebook page will also post details.
