The winter season is here, when traditionally on the first Saturday of the month we welcome a multitude of craft fair vendors for our annual Holiday Fest. We had to make the difficult decision to cancel Holiday Fest 2025, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6.

We are truly disappointed by this outcome and appreciate your understanding as we navigate the uncertainties of the Warner Park Community Recreation Center construction project process. See the City of Madison website (Warner Park Community Recreation Center Expansion | Parks | City of Madison, WI) for updated information.

We plan to host Spring Fest 2026, Saturday, May 2, and look forward to welcoming a majority of the registered 2025 Holiday Fest Artisans.

As several of the new spaces within the expansion project become available for programing and public use, we look forward to creating many new opportunities for our community to engage in and stay active while the colder months are with us.

The KNOW Program will kick off 2026 with an exciting lineup of youth and family friendly basketball events. The first event is a Late-Night Basketball session on Jan. 10, 2026, from 9 pm–12 am, and is open to all participants 17 years old and older. A WPCRC ID/membership is required to participate.

WPCRC Kiddie Ball, catered to youth attending kindergarten through third grade, will focus on providing beginner basketball sessions that begin on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, from 11 am–12 pm. We are offering four weeks of basketball fundamentals, drills and gameplay for children in kindergarten through third grade. The program welcomes all genders, with registration available from Dec. 8, 2025–Jan. 12, 2026, on our website.

To close out the month, on Jan. 30, 2026, there is a competitive 1-on-1 Basketball Tournament for 11-18-year-old current middle and high school students. This event takes place from 3–6 pm. Winners will receive an assortment of prizes made available by supporters of the KNOW Program. Interested youth should sign up in advance, with pre-registration opening Jan. 1, 2026, on our website.

Stay tuned for more upcoming events in our new gym!
