NORTHSIDE NEWS From the Editor:

From the Editor:

We are so glad that you have this copy of the Northside News in your hands. This is a labor of love brought forth by many, many more hands of fellow community members and neighbors working to share accurate, informative local news and activities taking place right here where we live, work and play. In fact, over 100 individual writers, photographers and local business advertisers have been part of creating and submitting content for this current issue, and that number keeps growing. It is an intentional goal and effort we are making to continue to increase the representation and diversity of our contributors in every way to better reflect the richness and fullness of our Northside community. Read this as a call to contribute your voice too.

We are motivated to continue this vital local news reporting, now as much as ever. 2025 is our 30-year anniversary of publishing the Northside News (August/September 1995 was the first issue) and we will be launching a “$30,000 for 30 years” campaign to raise money to support the continuation of the Northside News into our next 30 years. Stay tuned for more celebration of this milestone.

We often hear how Northsiders love and appreciate this valuable community resource.

As you read this issue and think about those 100+ people who made it possible, here is what just a few fellow readers (your neighbors) are saying about the Northside News:

“I am an avid reader of the Northside News. I can’t wait to get it. Thank you for providing this!”

“I want to say how amazed and impressed I am with the liveliness of the paper.”

“I appreciate that we hear from so many voices in the paper.”

We can offer the Northside News for free and cover costs to produce, print and distribute it because of the many volunteers, NPC’s support, and our Northside advertisers who get the mutual benefit of targeted, local marketing. Thanks for considering contributing support for the Northside News in this anniversary year.
