I am Alex Thompson, principal at Sherman Middle School, and I want to reintroduce you to our school.
We are a school community that is focused on providing a quality educational experience for all our students. We believe that with strong family-community-school partnerships, we can fuel the hopes and dreams of all the students and families that call Sherman home.
We have a diverse mix of families and staff from many different backgrounds, but we share the same goal, which is to ensure that every student within our village thrives.
Carter G. Woodson once said, “Real education means to inspire people to live more abundantly, to learn to begin with life as they find it and make it better.”
We take great pride in meeting our students where they are at and supporting them to realize their fullest potential each day. In order for us to do so, it is important to have strong family and community ties. It takes a village to raise a child and it takes the Sherman Village to raise scholars.
As we exit the winter and enter the spring season, I wish you and your loved ones health, wealth and growth.
