As fall approaches, the KNOW Program is excited to share several upcoming community events open to our community stakeholders. We will host a free Community Dinner on Sunday, Oct. 12, from 2–5 pm. This event is open to the public and will also include free donated clothing and fresh produce for individuals and families in need.

Our Family Fun Night series continues. The 4th annual October Family Fun Night Halloween Special will take place Friday Oct. 31, from 5–8 pm, offering activities inside WPCRC (Bouncy House, sports and recreation games, drop-in art, game room fun and scary bingo with prizes) and outside in the park (haunted hayrides, trunk or treats, bonfires with S’mores, food carts, and an outdoor movie and popcorn) at a cost of $5 per family.

The spooky evening’s haunted hayrides will be offered from 5–6 pm (last ride out at 5:40 pm), where you can climb aboard a hay wagon for a free tour around Warner Park provided by Madison Parks. The rides are about 20 minutes, and no reservation is required. Participants will need to enter and exit the wagon using stairs for safety.

After the last hayride, at 6 pm huddle up in a blanket near a bonfire and enjoy a S’more and popcorn or partake in one of the food carts offerings while watching a Halloween classic.

WPCRC Family Fun Nights are in partnership with Madison School Community Recreation. If your company or organization would like to sponsor a Family Fun Night, or the whole series, contact the Madison Parks Foundation at sfranklin@supportmpf.org.

In November we are planning Late-Night Basketball events on select Saturday evenings this fall and winter from 9pm–12 am. Stay tuned to our WPCRC website for the official schedule.

Families are also invited to enjoy our new gym facilities during Family Fun Nights on Nov. 14 and Dec. 12. Each event will feature movie showings, arts and crafts, face painting, balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, and a variety of food options.

Lastly, while the expansion project continues to take shape at WPCRC, we are still available to host your upcoming birthday parties, weddings, baby showers, and other community event rentals. Check out our programs and stay connected by liking our Facebook page WarnerParkCRC.
