Northside TownCenter Summer Block Party

We are working on an outdoor community event tentatively scheduled for Sunday, July 13, from 9 am–2 pm. The entire parking lot will feature activities for kids, special food options, music, give-a-ways and extra promotions that feature many of the businesses in the TownCenter. The Northside Farmers Market will also be participating in additional collaborations. Come out for some extra fun this summer!

At this time, it looks like this event will happen, but please check willystreet.coop/TownCenter for confirmation and details.

Northside Festival

We are excited to be working with the Northside Planning Council (NPC) to hold their second Northside Festival on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 11 am–3 pm, at the Madison Mallards stadium. Co-op Owners will have the opportunity to get Perks Passes for half-priced food and beverages for a three-hour period at this event. Watch for information about the food vendors and entertainment that NPC is lining up.

Double Dollars at local Farmers Markets

Although the Co-op’s Double Dollars distribution has ended for the season (it will start up again in October), the Farmers’ Market Double Dollars program will begin at participating local farmers markets on June 1 and run through October. One of the markets is the Northside Farmers Market, which happens on Sundays, 8:30 am–12:30 pm, in the parking lot in front of Willy North.

If you’re not familiar with the it, the Double Dollars program offers FoodShare shoppers a dollar-for-dollar match, up to $20 per market day, at participating farmers markets. These tokens can be used toward the purchase of fruits and vegetables. The funds spent by shoppers directly support vendors, who are fully reimbursed for every Double Dollar redeemed.

See the list of participating farmers markets and find more information at cacscw.org/services/food-security/double-dollars.
