What’s New at Willy North

By Brendon Smith
Willy Street Co-op

Everything you need for Thanksgiving

Willy Street Co-op will have everything you need for Thanksgiving, from whole turkeys to pre-made side dishes and pies to all the ingredients you’ll need to make everything from scratch. If you have guests who are avoiding meat, dairy and/or gluten (or if that describes you), we have entrees, pies and side dish options without those as well. We’ll have all the information in our November newsletter, which you can find in our stores or go to willystreet.coop/thanksgiving.

Field Day product sale

From Nov. 5–Dec. 2, all Field Day-brand products will be on sale — over 200 of them, including spices, pastas, baking ingredients, condiments, canned fruits and vegetables, body care products, paper goods and more. If you’re not familiar with Field Day, that’s our version of a store brand that is also used by grocery cooperatives across the country. It’s a great match of quality and low cost — and almost all Field Day products are organic.

Double Dollars are back

Every Tuesday starting Oct. 21, 2025–March 3, 2026, any shopper using their FoodShare/QUEST card to purchase groceries will be eligible to receive up to $20 worth of Double Dollars vouchers. These vouchers help purchase fresh, canned and frozen produce, and seeds and seedlings for growing edible plants.

For every $5 you spend using FoodShare/QUEST for any FoodShare/QUEST eligible items, the Co-op will give you one $5 Double Dollar voucher, up to $20. The vouchers can be used at any Willy Street Co-op retail location on any day from Oct. 21, 2025–May 31, 2026 (as funds allow the program to continue).

Additionally, from Nov. 1–Dec. 31, we will be holding our annual register campaign to support our five local food pantry partners, which includes The River Food Pantry. When customers contribute at the registers to the Double Dollars Fund, the Co-op will match those funds up to $15,000 and give those matching funds to our neighborhood food pantry partners.
