“I am so grateful for the ongoing work of the Northside Planning Council and all that it does for area entrepreneurs, Northside residents and organizations. I was amazed to learn that in the past 11 years, they have helped 30 businesses move from concept to brick and mortar locations, have supported the creation of hundreds of jobs for area workers and that over half of the businesses that they have supported were owned by women. The NPC offers community support through engaging the community at public meetings, hosting candidate panels and is a general connection point for many things Northside. I appreciate their impact on the Northside, and I intend to give “NPC Gifts” this holiday season – donations made in honor of my friends and family members. Thanks NPC!”
We invite you to give a financial gift to launch our work into 2025.
We hope all Northside businesses (and residents) will join in supporting our ongoing work. We believe we are creating value and inviting mutual support & investment with win-win-win outcomes (you, NPC’s work, the Northside).
Each of our above programs list real expenses that require real financial investment. Additionally, our operating budget this year has included +$20,000 for FEED Kitchens property taxes, +$12,000 for a voluntary organization audit (best practices), +$6,500 for strategic planning work with a consultant for setting priorities based on our mission, purpose and values. We also invested $22,135 for our numerous free community events in 2024 (Northside Festival, Taste the Future, North Star Awards, Dane County Executive and Supervisor Candidate Forums, Holiday Bazaar, and hosting or moderating various community meetings like the two Northside Neighborhood leaders’ gatherings this fall). Please consider a year-end gift.

Volunteer as a community writer/photographer for the Northside News.
- Share your resume or request an application to be considered for our NPC board. We are seeking diverse, dynamic leaders with specific skills that complement our existing board and represent our community.
- Volunteer for helping with the Northside Festival 2025. A few key roles for this include Volunteer Coordinator, Vendor Coordinator, Food & Beverage Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Communications & Marketing Coordinator, and Activities Coordinator.
